We spent a week in Pocatello, ID where we lived when we sold everything and hit the road as nomads. we return each year, usually at about this same time. We viit friends and relatives and see doctors. Merre’s 92 year old mom lives in Blackfoot and we like to check in. Merre’s youngest brother, Daniel, lives there as well and we still have many friends in Pocatello. We usually state at the Ft. Hall casino, just off of I-15 . They have a nice little RV park, I’ll get a review up soon. On the first day we were there we drove over to Shoshone Falls in the Snake River Canyon just outside of Twin Falls. Merre had never seen the falls, and spring, when the river is high, is the optimum time, as you’ll see from the pictures.
Just about a half mile down stream of the falls is the very spot where Evel Knievel attempted his motorcycle jump over the Snake River Canyon. He failed, of course. but the TV coverage made him world famous. Here’s the spot:
