Until the 28th, we’re staying in the Paradise RV Resort near Silver Creek, WA, about 20 miles east of Chehalis on hwy 12. Typical Thousand Trails hyperbole, the word MayfieldResort doesn’t quite fit, but still its a nice campground if you can overlook the minor shortcomings. We can.
As you enter, off to right is great view looking out over Lake Mayfield and on the day we arrived the smoke obscured what woould be a fantastic site. However, today when I walked up I could clearly see Mt. St. Helens
Adjacent to the entrance you spot this old farm warrior , quietly rusting in its final resting place. There is also and active Xmas tree farm next door.
Paradise is a good park for walking with lots of up and down hill roads and it’s a beautiful and peaceful place to get your exercise There are a couple of small lakes, cleverly named upper and lower, stocked with fish, rental canoes, and paddle boats. and Yurts to rent
From my perspective, perhaps the best feature of the park is the wonderful swimming complex with both an adult pool and a family pool as well as a great spa
The adult pool
All in all, its a great place for the next few days Perhaps our favorite thing is location with proximity to Mt. Rainier NP, Mt. St. Helenss, and other attractions. Good shopping in Chehalis, only a half hour away. Good place to be until we head souith
