Spring Flowers and Showers

Rained all weekend and most of Monday and a couple of nights this week. It is cool in the forest in April with nights down in the 40’s and every thing is damp. Also very lush and green so that’s  the trade-off.  Even here they’ve had to deal with drought the last couple of summers so the rain is welcome.

The coastal wildflowers are in  bursting  out, one of thecapedissappoint008 many reasons I love the coast. Here, let me share.

  1. love the flowers. looks like you’re having a pleasant time. it rained here two. snowed this morning. i have pansies planted. they didn’t seem to mind. i have a few peas coming up. a week ago, i planted several cool weather things. still a while before i dare plant a tomato. apricot tree blossomed and is done. apples are leaving out. no blossoms yet. lawn violets are nicely purple. enjoy. i grew up in puget sound area and miss the moss, trilliums and vine maples.
